Different homes need different packing. After 15 years in Southampton, this is what we prepare for.
Flats in the city centre and Ocean Village often mean lifts and long corridors, so we pack in sizes that are easy to carry and stack.
In larger homes around Bassett and Chilworth, kitchens and lofts take the longest. We start there so the rest of the day runs smoothly.
For students in Portswood and Highfield, we supply materials or pack just the essentials before a quick man and van move.
Packing tip: set aside an essentials box with kettle, mugs, chargers, medicines, bedding and toiletries, and keep it with you rather than in the van.
