Your local movers
The Polygon lies just north-west of the city centre, between Hill Lane, The Avenue, Archers Road and Commercial Road. It takes its name from an unfinished 18th-century plan for a grand twelve-sided development. Today it's mostly Edwardian red-brick houses, with Watts Park, the law courts and Southampton Central station on its edges.
Many of the large red-brick houses are now flats or shared houses, so moves here often mean stairs and on-street parking. We check access before the day and plan where the van can stop.
Bedford Place is one of Southampton's busiest streets for bars and restaurants, and Central station sits at the southern edge of the Polygon. We time moves to avoid the busiest hours, and load from quieter side streets where we can.
With halls of residence, language schools and the city centre close by, the Polygon has lots of students and young professionals. We move flats and shared houses here all year round.

Local know-how
The Polygon has its own streets, buildings and rules. Here's what we plan for.
Hill Lane forms the Polygon's western edge, and our base is further up the same road, so most Polygon streets are a short drive away.
Bedford Place is busy with bars and restaurants, so we plan loading times and use quieter side streets.
Roads around Southampton Central station get busy at peak times, so we time moves to avoid the rush.
Parking tip: if the van needs to stop on a council road in the Polygon, contact Southampton City Council in advance about a parking bay suspension, and tell us where the van can stop.

★★★★★I used this to move within Southampton, and then out of Southampton a few years later, and both times it was a very positive experience. From first message to the last box leaving the truck, I was assured about the move.
